The Congolese Shoowa weavings, made of raffia, I greatly admire. They inspired me here.
Soon after I recognised the very colours and mood of this piece in South Africa.

Tibetan monks fold from paper small horses, which they then throw deep down in the valley.
It is believed that these horses will guide the faithful to the monastery.

For a long time I wanted to make a series of bowls that are
more than just bowls. This is one of them.

The original houses, sheltering many families, look like
ships on the outside and on the inside.
